| Our 3-bedroom, holiday cottage is in the centre of the beautiful peninsula of Sandbanks. Located on the Dorset coast, Sandbanks is in Poole Harbour between Poole and Bournemouth. It has often been described as Britain’s Monte Carlo with its yachts, golden beach and views across turquoise seas. |

The Beach
Sandbanks’ beach is one of the finest in Britain and the good news is that it is only a short walk from the cottage. The sand is fine and golden and gradually slopes away into the water. The beach has won the European Blue Flag for a record 21 years making it safe for the whole family to enjoy.
You can sit and make sandcastles to your heart’s content or, if you are feeling more adventurous, there is a wide selection of water sports available from the beach including windsurfing, kite surfing, kayaking and sailing. |

The Region
If you need a change from the beach the towns of Poole and Bournemouth are only a few miles away and you can catch a bus to either from near the cottage. Alternatively, walk down to the chain ferry and cross the water over to Shell Bay and Studland Beaches.
Brownsea Island is a beautiful 550 acre island within Poole Harbour and is managed by the National Trust. You can catch a ferry to the Island from Sandbanks.
Further afield are the towns of Christchurch, Lyme Regis on the Jurassic Coast and Dorchester. The New Forest is only 16 miles away with its gardens, wildlife, walks, cycle tracks and horse riding. |
